Reminiscence of childhood DIYs

D.I.Y.- I was encountered to this word some years ago but did not know that it was already viral over the internet. I used to create stuffs before as well but only the word was new to me then. DIYs are always so fun to do. What's exciting is that you can create your own new stuffs out of something else; can change an old and discarded piece of dress to a new fashionable one; tie scraps and wires together to make creative ornaments; invoke a unique piece of furniture out of a chucked out wood. Wow!The imaginations are just endless. They are D.I.Y.s. C'mon people bring the creativity outside. Play with it!

When I think about it now, I feel that I was more creative as a child. At those times there was no such things as surfing DIYs over the internet or any supplies; but still I used to keep doing things as I liked. I liked to sew and make tiny little things for my doll, even made a doll house with compartments, personal bed for my doll LOLz... I even remember making paper dolls with multiple outfits through paper and changing them time and again for my paper dolly. I remember making paper doll was a bit of a fashion in our class back then when I was about 8 or 9 years old.

Those were the days and these are the days now. Though I surf hundreds of DIYs over the internet, I can't make time to make them. Or should I say I've grown much lazy over these years.
Better said than done, I'll soon upload some of my old DIYs. Oh.. I'm excited already!

Being billingual is a PLUS!

Yes, definitely. But one may question, why to waste time and money into something that is unlikely to use by oneself? Well, it's a wrong thought howsoever.

Learning a language doesn't only mean for a private tuition class and devoting your whole time into that single thing. It's a gradual process and in the long-run you will feel good about what you've achieved, like me! :D

I want to share my story related to the same subject here. Well, one of my friend happened to join a Language School for German Language and she also approached me to come along. As it was a morning class, I too wanted to give it a go, thinking it will give 'the lazy bird- ME'', a reason to catch the early worm. :P However I did not have much interest over German, so, I opted for a Korean Language class instead. Reasons were that- I already liked the language with those vast amount of time I invested in watching Korean movies and dramas. I gave it a try, studied it for 2 years and graduated! Well again, I had to take up another language class for Japanese to shift with my husband in Japan. This one happened in a bit hassle so I had to take private tuition classes. Yes, when you study more that one language at a time, you end of scratching your head and get confused all over. Nevertheless, there was no regret whatsoever. I always feel good when I think that I know a vast choices of Language. ;)

1. Its actually fun!
The process of learning a new language is exciting, first of all. If you are in a place where there are people of different countries, then it adds up a little fun in speaking the languages you've learned. Plus, interacting with different people enriches your friend circle as well.

2. Adds up value to your resume
Adding some extra language beside your native language also adds value to your resume. Well, say if you have same qualities compared to others in a same job candidacy then only your one extra language can grab your the job. Isn't this a bonus?

3. Broadens the employment opportunities
As we can see, there are numerous job opportunities for a person with an extra language quality such as Translator, or Teacher for foreign language, Travel Guide. It widens your job search ar
ea.

4. That can be your code language
It's always fun to have a code language. That code language could be anything of your own. I remember my Aunts using language of their own that was very hard to understand or should say, a bit tricky. A foreign language can be used instead. It helps when you want to have conversation that you don't want the third person to understand. But of course, provided that the second person also knows the language.

5. Provides study abroad opportunities
I guess most of the countries has this opportunity; like, when you take up a certain language and excel in the same you get to graduate in language from that very same country. Don't you think this is a 'go-getter'. Well, I too tried my hands on this one but, its shameful that I lacked behind. ;) Leaning language is interesting; but a bit hard isn't it? :P

Well, why not start to learn a new language from today. It just requires a bit to your manageable time.  And I bet it costs a way too little than what you will achieve. Join a language college, or if not, there are tones of classes over the internet. They won't even cost you, bingo!

So true to myself!

I am a bit lazy kind of personal to keep a journal for each passing day. But there are times when I really want to write, and when I write, I write it long.. ;)
Those are the times when I feel angry, or frustrated that I sit to write down to keep my all frustrations out. But as you see it, keeping happy moments saved in a diary seems much better, right?
Yes, and today was such a time. These are these special moments, not a long one. Though short, it helped to make an impact. At this particular time, when I'm going through such a rough phase (sorry, no description though) in my life, this small hint of joy definitely managed to light up my mood.
There was this thing when I was talking to a friend. I was really feeling good to talk after a long time and about the things we were talking about I suddenly said that I just wanted to cry. 'Why?' was the obvious question but actually I too did not know what the answer was. Then that friend suddenly popped the below text to me:

"Tears roll down, not because you've lost the race; but because you've won the race you were about to loose;
Tears roll down, not because someone stops caring for you; but because someone restarts to care for you after a long silence;
Tears roll down, not because someone doesn't love you; but because someone loves you so much that you don't know if you can reflect the same.
...and these are the tears, so genuine and so precious...!"

Yes, this was a short line that I wrote a couple of years back, and that also made its way to my facebook wall, liked by many but a long-forgotten one. When it suddenly got exposed to me today, it felt so good. I was reading one of my creation and that also in such a situation it fitted so much. Actually I'm not that poem kind of person but sometimes, like, once in a blue moon I do write, you know it, when sentiments get stuck in your mind and all. Anyways, it really felt good to read it after so long. The poem felt so true to me, I was proud of myself. Happy Happy!! :D

7 things that make you happy from within

First work with your inner self, and spread it to your surrounding- As they say, 'Charity begins at home', home implies to your inner self and charity is spreading happiness; well, as far as this blog is concerned. You actually can't make others happy if you are not happy enough.

Yes, following your dream comes in the forefront in this context, but before that there are certain things we also should consider foremost, that we often come to ignore in the long run.

1. Allocate some time for yourself
Being sociable and making time for others is virtuous; but it is equally important that you allocate some time for yourself. Assign a day once a week, well, if not possible then a half day.
This is the time to work with your hobbies and most of the things that interest you. May be you want to watch a movie, or go shopping, or take a drive (you may include others as well but let that day be totally yours). It will make you satisfied from within and you are not the person who wants to regret about your life later.

2. Stay alone for at least 10 mins. of your daily routine
May be you’re too busy with your business and your ménage that you cannot think anything else, but just keep all the daily chaos aside and stay alone, or meditate for a while. What it does is, it makes you realize what is important to you or lets you focus on your goals and priorities. Maybe there are things that you have to work on, or maybe you need to remember some important things. Keep track of these things and think about necessary resolutions.
Likewise, you can also rewind how your day passed. Work on your mistakes, if any; and smile for the good things that you did on that day. You can summarize your day within these 10 mins.

3. Always keep a pen and a notebook, handy
Yes, this is the generation for tablets, laptops or, smart phones; but notebook and pen also haven’t yet lost their influence. Keeping your notebook and a pen handy is always a good idea to quickly jot down the thoughts or anything substantial you across path with.

4. Writing a diary is a good habit
A diary is your life book. It may sound childish to some but believe me, you will feel good when you come across it, years later. Read it when you get old and you'll feel you're living your past life again. It acts as a movie based in your life. C'mon! explore the writer in you. You don't have to write like a professional but simply write! When you make it a habit, your writing also does improve. Bingo!

5. The Art of Multi-tasking
It’s not that you’ve to force yourself for multi-tasking, but, just give it a try and you can succeed over it slowly. The reason I’m emphasizing on multi-tasking is because it helps to improve your skill and your intelligence. And this also works best for people who’re too engaged in their work.

6. Read Inspirational blogs
Learn from others experiences, if not yours!
There are hundreds of blogs over the internet. Most of them are based on writers’ personal experiences. These kind of blogs let you learn many things, and motivate you. Well, you don’t have to take everything personally but learn and take only the things that you think can flourish positive changes within you.

7. Health is Wealth!
Health is related to the functioning of your body. Whatever you do, whatever you think is all part of your body functions.  Simply take care of your physical well-being, so that you can take care of other things in your life. Most people neglect their health, to fulfill other materialistic wishes. Yes, this is a human behavior.. But without health, all the achievements, happiness and wealth can only be compared with ashes. Truly!

P.S. Love yourself first; so that you can love others (but it doesn’t mean you’ve to be selfish!) because, he, who is happy and satisfied can spread the same to his surroundings.

'Falling Slowly' in love...

"Falling Slowly"- I so.. love this song! Simply a soft and touching number written and performed by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová. This song appeared in their 2006 movie- 'ONCE', from which it won the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 80th Oscars.

This song also appeared in their 2006 album- The Swell Season and also in the album- The Cost by The Frames (Hansard's band).

What's New?

Fashion actually is not about "what's in" in the market but actually about what you prefer to wear that makes you comfortable and flattering. Fashion is not about following others but about following your own instincts on what you want to wear that particular day or on that particular function.
If you want to be a fashionista, then you should first be able to carry yourself on whatever you wear and walk around flauntingly. Well, this is what I guess fashion is about.
Below, I've complied some tips on following your instincts on your summer clothing. These are just tips but you rather do whatever you feel comfortable in or whatever you can think you can carry.

Summer Clothing:
Summer is all about showing your skin ( but make sure you're using the best sunblock to protect your skin from the UV rays). Wear sleeveless or wear shorts. Bare those parts which you think are your best. Like, if you have flirting legs, wear shorts; if you have slim hands, wear sleeveless.Be at your best all the time, 'coz you never know who you may come across with! ;) as they also say, "Always dress like you're going to see your worst enemy!"

What is love actually?

love
Love!
Have been wondering about it lately...Yes, I got the answer now. The only answer to it can be: One can never define love literally. Neither one can define love with words; nor one can make sure that it'll stay forever. The later is truly dictated for what I've felt till now. Perception may change for others, right?
The reason, for my thought on love may be because I just come to conclusions too soon. Whenever I feel like butterflies in my stomach, or a chill rushing when talking to that particular person or the pain when missing him; I've always mistaken these feeling for love. Till the person is there, these feelings what I call "love" stays there. When he's gone, that feeling still roots up your heart.
You keep missing the person with a strong desire that he would return because you still feel the same love for him. And Bang! the other person enters. Every other person can't make you feel the same but some; yes, they can make you feel more that what you've felt for the person you've loved (mark the words: " you've loved")...
Yes, it has changed! Now you start feeling... I haven't loved anyone like this before... The problem is you feel the same commitment and dedication (from your side) for whoever enters your life. What do you call this? Well, Infatuation may be a cheap thing to define this... or is it really the one without definitions??
I never got an answer and confusions always hurls around..!

Hey...........

Hey guys!!
Actually I'm feeling really sleepy right now. Couldn't sleep more that 2 hours yesterday night ad I was updating my blog and managing some settings. And when it was all ready to go live, guess what!, the light went off. Aah! I hadn't saved most of my work.... Frustated! But, had to accept it. You can expect anything in this country. As impatient as I am, couldn't get the sleep but thanks to a friend, I managed to get some after 3. hehe.. ;)

Again woke up around 5.14 and yippie! the light came back. What could I ask more. I simply turned on my PC and started to re-do the things that went unsaved. Oh my!.. my blog was all on track. Nomatter how it looks now; whether good or VERY good ;), I'm simply happy with the results!!

The vendor was claiming it to be made in Korea and yes, must be; they are truly cute as Koreans!! I bought them for around 20 bucks for a pair(includes bargaining).

Heart Shaped Hair Pin
This heart shaped hair pin is perfect to be put on for a romantic date. I'm sure this can make your loved-one's heart go flutter.
Bought in the same shop like stated above; the color choices are also the same; claimed it to be Korean I got this also for 20 bucks but for a single piece.(includes bargaining)
